The historic city of Chichester is located a short drive from the cottage and hosts a wider selection and range of high street and individual shops and restaurants. The Boxgrove Priory - The Priory Church of St Mary and St Blaise sits in the centre of Boxgrove village and was founded by monks from the Abbey of Lessay in Normandy, in 1105 Robert de Haye bestowed the church of St. Mary of Boxgrove upon the Benedictine Abbey of Lessay, since the Dissolution of the Monasteries, "Boxgrove Priory" has served as the Parish Church of Boxgrove. - http://www.boxgrovepriory.co.uk/
